The phone was ringing... the questions start running through head...is she going to know who I am, is she having a good day? She answers . She says she is going bowling tonight, she also said she was going bowling last night when I called. I ask if it's snowing there and tell her about our day. I can tell she was having a hard time following .I have to remember keep my words short and to the point. I go ahead and let her go and tell her I'll call her later.She just says "ok but remember we'll be bowling"
Alzheimers I hate the word more and more everyday. Still hard to wrap my mind around this horrible disease. Everyday I call her and she sounds good I think "We must be wrong". 69 not young but defiantly not old.
